The mission of the Sanctuary of The Divine Mercy is to provide an invitation to a renewal of the spirit for a covenant people and serve as a vibrant symbol of the eternal hope of faith. The Sanctuary seeks to revitalize the heritage of a people in journey and unify them by fostering a deeper relationship with the past, present and future through silent contemplation on the mystery of God's love revealed in salvation history and quiet reflection on the manifestation of that love in their daily lives. Through its biblical themes, language and imagery, the Sanctuary will create a sacred space that will allow people to re-discover their innocence and dignity as children of God, teach them how to be re-defined in relationship with God, and enable them to experience the nobility of being truly human by being transformed through the grace of The Divine Mercy and the spiritual life exemplified in Mary, the Mother of God.
